"The British Are Coming!" "Don't Shoot Until You See the White's of Their Eyes!" "I Regret That I Have But One Life to Lose For My Country" "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!" All of these quotes, and more, are synonymous with America and the American Revolution. As a Patriotic Girl growing up in the United States, I was always drawn to learning about my country's founding, and the brave men and women who ensured that came to be. And now, as a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, I preserve my country's history and the principles it was founded on every day. Below, I hope you will find stories of the brave men and women willing to fight and die for the freedoms we so take for granted today. I salute all of you, Thank you.
